After I had the boys, a friend was visiting us and turned to me, as I nursed both of them at the same time and she said, "you've got this, eh?"


I did. But it wasn't easy. It was a dark time in my life, with round the clock feedings, crying (for all three of us) and 45-min sleep cycles. I told myself, "you've got this," though I didn't quite believe it. My boys are seven now, and I still need daily encouragement and reminders.
